*Born in Hale County, Alabama, first born child of Thomas and Fannie.

*Oral history and census records indicate Lucy did not live to adulthood.  Little is known about her.

*Lucy is listed on the 1870 census with her parents, sister Susan, grandmother Susan, and one uncle Lawrence.

*After 1870 Lucy is no longer listed on census records.

** On the 1900 census, Thomas and Fannie are the parents of 12 children, nine of which are living.  Their three deceased children as of 1900 are Lucy, Henry, and Elizabeth.
